🔧 Usage Guide:

  1. Always Use a Current-Limiting Resistor! Connecting directly to a power source will destroy the LED.

  2. Identify Polarity:

    • Cathode (-): Shorter lead. Flat side on the LED lens rim.

    • Anode (+): Longer lead.

  3. Resistor Calculation: Use Ohm’s Law: R=(Vsupply−Vf)/If_R_=(_Vsupply_​−_Vf_​)/_If_​.

    • Example for 5V supply: R=(5V−2.0V)/0.020A=150Ω_R_=(5_V_−2.0_V_)/0.020_A_=150Ω. A standard 220Ω resistor is a safe, common choice.

  4. Soldering: Use a low-temperature iron. Avoid prolonged heat on the leads.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • Polarity Sensitive: Will not light if installed backwards.

  • Do Not Exceed Ratings: Continuous operation above 20-30mA will shorten lifespan or cause failure.
