⚙️ Features:
Low Power & Low Voltage: Operates efficiently at common circuit voltages.
Easy to Use: Standard axial leads for simple breadboarding, soldering, and PCB mounting.
High Visibility: Red is a classic, highly visible color for warnings, status, and indicators.
Diffused Light: Provides a soft, wide-angle glow without a sharp central hotspot.
Reliable & Long-Lasting: Solid-state design ensures durability.
📦 Applications:
Power & Status Indicators: On/Off, standby, or error indicators in electronic devices.
DIY Electronics & Prototyping: Essential for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and breadboard projects.
Panel & Backlighting: Illuminating switches, instruments, and displays.
Model & Costume Lighting: For scale models, toys, and cosplay.
Educational Kits: Fundamental component for learning basic electronics.
🔧 Usage Guide:
Always Use a Current-Limiting Resistor! Connecting directly to a power source will destroy the LED.
Identify Polarity:
Cathode (-): Shorter lead. Flat side on the LED lens rim.
Anode (+): Longer lead.
Resistor Calculation: Use Ohm’s Law: R=(Vsupply−Vf)/If_R_=(_Vsupply_−_Vf_)/_If_.
Example for 5V supply: R=(5V−2.0V)/0.020A=150Ω_R_=(5_V_−2.0_V_)/0.020_A_=150Ω. A standard 220Ω resistor is a safe, common choice.
Soldering: Use a low-temperature iron. Avoid prolonged heat on the leads.
⚠️ Important Notes:
Polarity Sensitive: Will not light if installed backwards.
Do Not Exceed Ratings: Continuous operation above 20-30mA will shorten lifespan or cause failure.
Heat Sensitivity: Avoid excessive heat during soldering.
ESD Protection: Handle with care.
